Their attendance bridges the gap between past and present — reminding us that the courage shown in 1940 continues to inspire the servicemen and women of today.

A Living Tribute

The Battle of Britain remains one of the defining moments of the Second World War, when RAF pilots and ground crews defended Britain against overwhelming odds. At Temple at War, the RAF’s participation has ensured that this story is never forgotten. Through talks, displays, and opportunities for the public to engage with those who serve, the show has become a living tribute to the resilience and sacrifice of the RAF.

Inspiring Generations

Children have been inspired by stories of heroism, while veterans have shared first-hand experiences with an attentive audience. Many visitors return each year, knowing that the RAF’s presence gives the show its distinctive mix of remembrance and celebration.

Looking Back, Looking Forward

As the Temple at War Military & Vintage Show continues to grow, the ongoing attendance of the RAF ensures the Battle of Britain remains at the heart of our event. It is not only about honouring those who fought in 1940, but also about recognising today’s RAF — still defending the skies, still upholding the same values of courage, service, and sacrifice. We are proud to host the RAF each year and to give visitors the chance to connect with this remarkable chapter of British history.
